Dog On Fleas

Dean Jones records and produces his own projects and those of other artists in his homey straw bale studio, NO PARKING STUDIO, in Rosendale New York. Over many years Dean has gained a reputation for his easy going and relaxed recording style, but with an ear for odd sounds, unexpected directions, and lots of experimentation. Dean often develops longstanding relationships with artists who come back year after year, despite having to use an outhouse (or perhaps because of it!).

Dean has been nominated as producer/engineer 4 times for Grammy Awards, and has won once. He also has written for film, TV and theatre (usually of the absurd) and has also worked as a one man band for the Arm of the Sea Theatre (environmental puppet troupe) since 1999. If that’s not enough, since time began, Dean has also been musical director of the Cave Dogs, a hard to describe group of artists working with shadow, video, sculpture and sound.
