Birds of a Feather
Birds of a feather by Dean Jones
They say that birds of a feather ought to flock together
I say that any bird that eats a worm is good
Some birds have little wings
And hearts that beat so fast
They’re just about having a heart attack
And big birds that glide make the critters run & hide
They say that birds of a feather ought to flock together
I never met a bird I didn’t like
Every bird has got a dream,
Some kind of simple-minded scheme, mmm
Well did you ever want to fly
But you knew you shouldn’t try?
You’ll never see the world from a bird’s eye view
But you got the view inside of you
Crackers and cheese in all the galleries
You can call it what you like
I hit the hay in the middle of the day
Then tool around town on my bike
I learned a little ditty from a phoebe
I’ll sing it to you forthwith my little pretties
Everytime I hear a song
From my fine-feathered friends
I say thank you, my fine-feathered friends
Thank you
They say that birds of a feather ought to flock together
